It was a pretty hectic month in the Google SEO/search world. Despite Google claiming they would confirm major updates - we did have a major update on 6/25 which they call random chatter and won't confirm. I did try to analyze the update but came up blank. Google said there was no Fred update even after giving tips on recovering from Fred.

The mobile-first index won't launch until 2018 and it will launch in batches. Google launched Google Posts to most Google My Business users. They also launched new job posting schema as expected.

The ongoing WebmasterWorld thread has discussions of that update we mentioned above, and ongoing fluctuations in the Google results.

For last months recap, see the June 2017 webmaster report.

Here are the topics I pulled out for your review:

Google Algorithm:

Google SEO: Google Search Console: Google Local: Google Posts

Forum discussion at WebmasterWorld.
