Google WebmasterHere is our May 2011 Google Webmaster report, to catch all of you up on the most important topics related to Google and webmaster topics that we covered over the past month. To see last month's report, see the April report.

This is based off the topics we covered over the past month here and an ongoing WebmasterWorld thread.

Let's first start with the WebmasterWorld thread and summarize the top topics in this thread:

  • Lots of fluctuations spotted in early May in the Google search results
  • Google cache weirdness recently (might be site error)
  • Many pages of sites are indexed by Google but not ranking for site command for some
  • Some are calling this Panda 3.0 or 2.1

So maybe Google is doing a third update to Panda? The last update was in early to mid April when they began the international Panda rollout with some tweaks. So maybe Google is doing yet another update? I am not sure.
