It is a new month and I wanted to update our monthly Google Webmaster report for you all. To see our last report, check the March Google Webmaster report.
I normally base this off an ongoing WebmasterWorld thread, but this thread is currently talking about thing I do not personally feel are the main issues and news in the past month at Google. If you must know, it is about Google's did you mean not updating fast and the DMCA form breaking over the weekend (it is not fixed).
That being said, in the past month, the main topics were:
- Google Farmer / Panda
- New Features/Interfaces
- SEO/Webmaster Related
Farmer is still a huge topic, as most those impacted are still sitting not knowing what to do. Google launched the +1 button and also a block sites feature, shaping the way for future quality metrics and personalized search. Plus we learned Google does have whitelists and some other tidbits. I also have links to some user interface changes, news changes and logos and April Fools jokes. Because those jokes come up throughout the year and people thinking they are real, when they are not.
