A lot of sites are reporting Google has turned 20 years old, but the truth is, Google has not yet officially turned 20. Google officially celebrates their anniversary on September 27th, although they have done it on September 7th before.
Back in 2007, it was super confusing as to when Google would post their birthday Doodle. In the old days, like pre 2006, Google celebrated their birthday sometimes on September 7th. But Google made it official back in 2007 to celebrate the birthday on the 27th going forward.
Even Google's own featured snippet for [when is google's birthday] has the correct day.
So if you are seeing people report that Google turned 20, tell them to hold on a few more weeks until the 27th.
Google posted on their blog that they incorporated on September 4th, but they celebrate the birthday on the 27th. They will be posting on the Google blog about the changes over the past 20 years.
