Google is testing a way to load more stories in the top stories section where Google shows a list view versus a carousel. Of course, with the carousel look, you can swipe left to right through stories but with the list view, you are only given so many on the page. With this test, Google will dynamically load more stories below the top three stories Google has given you.

I am not sure I like the top stories to expand all the way open above the search results, as opposed to taking me to a new page with more search results.
