YouTube Subscriber Giveaway Is Now Done

I'll be honest, when I launched my YouTube subscriber giveaway I really anticipated that I would get well over 10,000 subscribers, I thought maybe a total of 100,000 subscribers. I guess this shows that I know very little about the YouTube world.

I started off the two-month contest with 7,561 subscribers (screenshot) and I hit 8,386 subscribers (screenshot) . That is only a 825 increase in subscribers. I did get a lot of new subscribers on day one but that was it, see this chart:

Still over 60% of those who watch my videos on YouTube are not subscribed to my YouTube channel. So a lot of my "viewers" are not subscribers and this incentive of these giveaways in both terms of SEO/SEM stuff and to help fight cancer and mental illness did nothing to incentivize those folks. I guess I need to give away iPhones instead?

In all seriousness, I was obligated to donate $412.50 to American Cancer Society and $412.50 to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). I decided to give $1,000 to each instead (screenshot).

Also, I contacted all the winners of the SEO/SEM tools and conference giveaway to tell them what they've won. They all seem happy. Thanks again to Accuranker, DeepCrawl, Link Research Tools, Majestic, Pulno, RankRanger, Screaming Frog, SEMRush, SISTRIX, SMX, and Yoast.

Again, thanks again - this was all very educational to me. Not hitting 100,000 subscribers is not going to make me slow down any of my video stuff. I will continue to produce the videos I am producing, as well as add more. So don't worry if you like these videos, I'll keep them up.
