  • Limited Chatter: Google Search Algorithm Update This Week
    For the past week or so, I've been seeing chatter within the community about Google search algorithm updates. Truth is, the chatter is very limited but those who are complaining are seeing huge changes for their sites in Google search. But again, it does not seem very wide spread.
  • Google: More On When To Ignore Bad Links
    The other day I reported that Google said in most cases it is perfectly safe to ignore, not act, on bad links pointing to your site. That caused a bit of a ripple through the link building, well, the nofollow, SEO industry. John Mueller from Google has since added more details on what he meant.
  • Google Hotel Highlight Overlays Now Live
    A month ago, Google began testing putting the hotel highlight details in an overlay window instead of a normal web page window. Well, today Google is rolling out that change.
  • Google Rolls Out Image Thumbnails In Related Searches
    In August we caught Google testing showing thumbnails or icons in the related searches options in the mobile search results. Well now it seems to be fully live for all searchers on mobile. Not for all queries and related searches but for many.
  • Geminid Meteor Shower Google Logo
    Today on the Google home page is a Google logo, a Doodle, for the Geminid Meteor Shower. The Geminids are a meteor shower caused by the object 3200 Phaethon, which is thought to be a Palladian asteroid with a "rock comet" orbit. So technically, today's Google logo is out of this world.
  • Monopoly Man Trolls Google's CEO, Sundar Pichai
    Here is the Monopoly man who sat for over 3.5 hours in the Google congressional hearing two days ago. He positioned himself so that the cameras would see him while Sundar Pichai, Google's CEO, would
