Earlier this month we reported that Google said there is a backlog with the manual actions in the queue, some as far back as over several months ago. Well, I am seeing some reports from SEOs that some of those manual actions are now being processed.
On January 10th as we originally reported, Danny Sullivan of Google said "we apologize for the delay in processing the reconsideration. We've had a backlog & now cleared the action."
We then shared some examples of these old manual actions but now I am seeing some of those who shared examples, are now reporting those manual actions are being processed.
Rob P got an approval notice from a reconsideration request submitted last October:
Update! Thank you, GSC team. I take back everything negative I've ever uttered about this process. Most everything. pic.twitter.com/F6wbpAVdcX

Marie Haynes received responses from reconsideration requests back about 9 months ago:
Had two difficult unnatural links manual actions finally lifted today! ๐

One had been there for 9 months, the other was given pre-Covid.
So I guess Google is plowing through some of these manual action reconsideration requests now?
