Mozilla Firefox logoIn November we reported that Firefox made a deal with Yahoo to become the default search provider, ultimately dropping Google. The search share numbers came out this week and Google, showing Google lost almost 2 percentage points of market share to Yahoo, likely because of this Firefox deal.

So Google across their social media channels, including Google+ is showing users how to quickly change the default search provider from Yahoo, to Google.

They are sharing this animated GIF:

Firefox Switch To Google

Google said on Google+, "This one's for all the Google Search-loving Firefox fans out there." It then links to this page with step by step instructions on how to switch.

Danny also reported early this morning that they have a switch notification on their home page for Firefox users. But I am not sure if that part is new, I've seen people show this notification before.
