Google Still Working On Evergreen GoogleBot Support For Tools

Back in May, three months ago, Google released the evergreen GoogleBot. Basically GoogleBot is on the same version as your version of Chrome, which gives Google more capabilities to crawl and access your web pages. But the tools, tools within Google Search Console and other tools are still not yet using the evergreen GoogleBot.

Google was testing it heavily in mid-June but the tools still do not support the evergreen GoogleBot.

Martin Splitt from Google said the other day on Twitter that it "Shouldn't be long" until this is released. It has been three months but hopefully we are almost there.

Here is his tweet:

So hang tight, those tools - including the mobile-friendly tool, rich results test, URL inspection tool and other tools should soon support the evergreen GoogleBot.
