Geeks Point Out Embarrassing Features Snippets On Google

There is a Hacker News thread where normal geeks are discussing how Google's featured snippets can not just be wrong but also very embarrassing.

One example was a search for can carrot juice cure cancer, which came up with a featured snippet saying yes, it can. That has been squashed after a Googler spotted the thread and escalated the issue. There are many of these examples in the thread.

Here is an embarrassing one, a search for [tintinnabulum] in Google, which is pulling the description from Wikipedia where it goes through how it is used in the Roman Catholic church. But it sourced a different image unrelated to the Wikipedia description and is a bit embarrassing and insulting to the church.

It is somewhat interesting to see none SEOs talk about these results. A hat tip to Bill Hartzer for spotting this thread.
