Hugo Barra, former VP of Android, who ran into a scandal with the co-founder and left the company to join Xiaomi In Beijing shared a picture on Google+.
The picture shows part of the Google search team visiting him at his company in Beijing. The company is named Xiaomi, a massive smartphone distributor.
Some of the people are very well known from Google including Scott Huffman VP of Engineering in the Google Search team, Ken Tokusei Director of Product Management at Google (mostly now on mobile search) and Anthony Ha who has been with the Google search team for over ten years.
Supposedly the visit was only a couple of hours.
I believe other Googlers were there as well, I suspect to figure out more challenges around mobile and search.
