Google Food Waste/Trash Scale

Stephen Shankland was at Google Paris and noticed that in the cafeteria there was a set of waste cans that displayed the weight of the food and items within it. It was to drive awareness for how much food and stuff Google wasted in the cafe, to to to help them slow down the waste day after day.

Stephen shared the photo on Google+ and said:

At Google's cafeteria in Paris, the company shows you how much food waste, recyclables, and other trash they collect each day. No doubt people get inured, but any incremental increase in awareness of waste production is a good thing -- especially at a company that gives you free food.
