In September we reported issues with OK Google working with trusted voice setting on. Google has updated a thread this week at the Google Web Search Help forums around that topic, basically saying Google is working on reenabling this feature.

We definitely hear you, and are looking to re-enable certain responses when the ‘Personal Results’ or ‘Trusted Voice’ setting is turned on (see "Ok Google" settings you can change). The current behavior was due to implementation reasons, and the team is working hard on this.If you’re very keen to get these changes as soon as possible, you can sign up for our Public Beta to try them out when they’re ready, and of course help us test to make sure they’re working properly.

Interesting this is going on so long but at least Google is not ignoring it completely.
