Google Offers Soup Analogy On Difference Between Cache & Fetch Tool

I am a big fan of analogies, espesially funny ones so when I spotted Gary Illyes of Google use one to describe the difference between the Google Cache and the Fetch as Google tool in Google Search Console, I had to share it with you.

Gary said:

  • Google's ranked cache is the completed soup, that ends up served
  • Google Search Console fetch tool is a different soup using the same recipe, but no one will ever eat it
