Google Changes The Size Of Their Search Box

Google has quietly changes the size of their search box on the Google home page and the inside search pages.

The new search box is taller (has more height) and not as wide (has less width).

Here is an animated GIF, which I find to be the best way to compare the home page from earlier this year to today:

Very noticeable when you put the pictures side by side like that.

How about the inside search box? Well, that just got more height:

Note, I lined up the logos so they matched perfectly when doing the animated GIF.

Funny how Google makes these small little changes.
