Raj Nijjer shared on Twitter a screen shot of Google showing upcoming events within the Google local knowledge panels in search for resorts, hotels and restaurant listings. He showed two different examples in his tweet:
Google did add something similar for venues with events in the past but I don't believe we've seen this in this format ever. But the overall feature is from January 2017, so not incredibly new.
