Chas Stewart posted in the Google+ Glass Explorers Community that his pick up invite in San Francisco triggered an unusual notification from Google. It seems that those picking up Google Glass for a fitting in San Francisco in the upcoming weeks will do so on a boat, cruise ship of some sort.

The invite prompt notified Chas and others:

We see you've chosen San Francisco. There's something special about this particular pick-up location. For the next couple of weeks we'll be taking our San Francisco Explorers on a little adventure to get Glass. WE don't want to give away too much right now (you'll get more details in your confirmation email) but let's just say, you'll need to make sure you're free for 3 hours. Oh, an you should;'t choose ethos if you get sea sick… ok, we've said too much. This option will only be available for a limited time but it's totally up to you.

I wonder if Google Glass NYC folks will get the same? I personally am still waiting for my invite to pick up in NYC, so hopefully the timing will work out for a nice surprise there? I am sure it will make for some awesome pictures.

Here is to the Google Glass Cruise!
