The Mysterious Faster Google Penguin & Panda Algorithm

sonic the hedgehogA couple weeks ago John Mueller of Google said Google is working on making Penguin and Panda faster, but everyone wants to know what that means.

We just learned that Penguin, one day, will run in real time/continuously and that Panda will be refreshed soon but likely will always need manual data refreshes.

So what John mean when he said they will run faster? I asked him at the 28:16 mark in the Google+ hangout. I asked:

About two weeks ago you said that you are making Penguin and Panda run faster. Can you describe what that means by run a bit faster?

He answered:

I don’t have anything specific that I can share about that.

Run a bit faster is about as much as you can get.
