Do a search for [is google down] and Google will return an answer telling you if the search engine is currently working or not. The ironic thing is that if Google was down, it wouldn't be able to tell you if they were up or down.

Sunny notified me of this on Twitter. Again, I don't know the logic behind someone searching for this versus trying to search for what they want to find on Google and seeing if Google returns a result.
