Google Logo For Hip Hop History

Today on the Google home page is a pretty cool hip hop Doodle, special Google logo. It is an interactive Google Doodle that lets you use turntables where you can mix samples of tracks from legends in the hip hop industry.

44 years ago today on August 11, 1973, hip hop was invented DJ Kool Herc, Clive Campbell. He is currently 62 and is a Jamaican American DJ who is credited with originating hip hop music in the early 1970s in The Bronx, New York City.

Here is a GIF of the Doodle in action:

But you can play it on the Google home page or on the Doodle page.

Google even posted a blog post on the logo and the history of hip hop.

The ultimately query the Doodle goes to, if you get that far, is [hip hop history].
