Google Automatically Creating Domain Properties In Search Console

As you know, Google launched domain properties since the old property sets are going away soon. But did you know that Google can also automatically create domain properties for you? I guess if you have already verified sites using DNS verification, Google may just create these properties for you?

Ross Barefoot posted on Twitter that he received a consolidated notification from Google Search Console that he has new domain property sets set up for him. The notification said "we've created the following Domain properties for you, based on your existing properties."

Since the other properties you verified are not impacted, I see no real harm in automatically creating these domain properties outside of a bit of confusion which seems to be addressed by the language in the notification above?
