Google Author Attribute Now Live For Many Sites

Oct 12, 2011 - 8:07 am 3 by

Many webmasters, like me, added the authorship rich snippet code to their sites within a week of Google announcing it. Since then, many have complained that the rich snippet didn't show in the search results.

For some reason, as of this morning, several of my rich snippets are showing up on sites they've never showed up for me before.

This includes this site and the RustyBrick site. Here are screen shots:

This is weird, because I see a few reports via Cre8asite Forums and Google Webmaster Help that the author snippet is now gone for some sites, after Google added them for those sites last week. I am not sure if Google is fluxing for those types of snippets but I suspect as of this morning, the webmasters are now seeing the rich snippets.

Has Google activated your author rich snippet?

I am still waiting for Google to activate a bunch of prayer time rich snippets for a bunch of sites - but I am not holding my breath.
