Google seems to be testing showing author names and website citations in the AI Overviews. I am honestly not sure if this is new but Christian Kunz said it was and posted about it on his blog and on X.
He said, "Google is showing names of authors and websites for citations in AI Overviews (test)."
I don't speak this language but here is a screenshot:
I guess the more links and brand name calling out in the AI Overviews, the better.
