Google is testing showing AI Overviews on the right hand side of the search results page. I am not sure if this is specific to local queries and a replacement of sorts for the local panel, I hope not.
But Jamie posted a few screenshots of this happening for him on X - and I cannot replicate this, no matter how many browsers and sessions I try.

I really hope Google isn't considering replacing the local pack with AI Overviews.
