Report: 15% Drop In Review Snippets In Google Search Results Yesterday

The Mozcast Features report shows a 14.5% drop in the reviews snippets showing up in Google over the past day compared to the day prior. This is a massive drop compared to the stability is has shown over the past several months.

Here is the 30 day chart of just how often the review snippets show up:

As you can see, it typically shows up around 34% of queries that Mozcast tracks but the other day it dropped to 29% of queries.

Dr. Pete Meyers who tracks this confirmed it on Twitter as not an issue with the tracking tool:

Just the other day, Google did say they try not to clutter the results with rich snippets but I doubt this is related to that.

Maybe it is just a glitch?
