Today on the Google home page you will see a special Google logo for Carlos Juan Finlay's 180th Birthday. The logo looks like an mosquito on a green leaf and that is because Carlos Finlay was a leader in yellow fever research.

Here is the logo:

Carlos Juan Finlay's 180th Birthday Google Doodle

He published his first paper on yellow fever in 1872 after a bad breakout of the disease in Havana in 1867.

Finlay was born on December 3, 1833 in Puerto Príncipe (Camagüey), Cuba and died at the age of 81 on August 20, 1915 in Havana, Cuba. He died from a stroke caused by severe brain seizures.

This logo should be globally available on Google.com on December 3rd, his 180th birthday.

Update: It should be global but maybe not?
