  • Veteran's Day 2010 Logos from Google, Bing, Ask But Not Yahoo, Again
    Today is Veteran's Day in the United States and some of the search engines have logos up for the special day. We have logos from Google, Bing, Ask all have special logos for the day - but not Yahoo. Yahoo didn't have a logo either the previous years. It is also Armistice Day in the UK and Google has a red poppy icon and Ask also has lots of red poppies on their UK site,
  • Google Maps Shows Asian Characters On University of California San Diego
    A Google Maps user asked in a Google Maps Help thread, why does the University of California San Diego Google Maps listing show in Chinese characters?   • Google News Preference Bug: Stories Not Opening In New Windows
    A Google News Help thread reports a small but yet annoying bug some users have to put up with while reading news on Google News. Google allows users to set a search preference to enable results that you click on to open in a new window. Normally if that is checked off, both on the web search results and on Google News, when you click a link, the result will open in a new browser
  • Google Maps Missing Reviews & Duplicate Listings Issues
    We have two threads at the Google Places Help forums complaining about two different issues. Missing Reviews: The first is a complaint about reviews missing. As Mike covered this is a known issue. In fact, some of it was intentional and not a bug.
