Google Malware Detection Gets Faster & Better

Apr 9, 2010 - 8:32 am 0 by

Earlier this week, we reported that Google graduated malware details in Webmaster Tools by taking it out of the labs. Well, the malware details section is not just graduating, it also got faster and better.

Google announced last night that they now update the malware data "four times faster than before" plus they updated the "algorithms for identifying injected content." That means they are able to identify exploits which they were unable to catch earlier.

Since hacking has become a major issue for many sites, this is a welcomed enhancement to Google Webmaster Tools.
