Google Does Read Spam Reports, They Do

Apr 9, 2010 - 8:26 am 0 by

There are many people who submit spam reports to Google, for one reason or another. Some SEOs would never submit a spam report to Google on principle. Some SEOs don't believe submitting spam reports work or even get looked at by Google.

Well, Google does look at spam reports. Matt Cutts made a short video saying that they do. Here is the video:

Don't believe him? Fine, but maybe you will believe a former Googler, Bergy, who tweeted:

@marrrr @mattcutts I kinda miss seeing spam reports. I REALLY miss reconsideration requests.

Why would he Tweet that if he really didn't look at spam reports.

So there you have it. Googlers do look at spam reports but do they act on all of them? Not all of them.
