Search News Blogging at Search Engine Watch

With Gary Price Joining Ask Jeeves someone had to fill in the void that will be felt at the Search Engine Watch blog. Gary mentioned it to me a couple weeks ago and I told him I was interested. Danny Sullivan has asked me to be the News Correspondent at the SEW blog. Honestly, I am a bit nervous, I know there is no way I can fill the shoes of Gary. I don't think anyone can be as comprehensive and quick to find and post information as Gary. So I am a bit nervous to meet those expectations, and I hope people do not expect it. :)

So how will this affect the Search Engine Roundtable? Well, it won't stop me from posting here. If anything, it will bring more traffic and more readers to the Roundtable. SEW will enable me to blog about topics I would not otherwise blog about here. As you know, I only cover news and topics that are in the forums. The reasoning is because I only want to cover the deep inside chatter within the SEM community at this blog. That has been how we primarily always done it and it will remain forum buzz focused. Over at SEW blog, I can write about any news item, and there are tons, that I do not cover here, because most of the SEM community do not care to chat about it in the forums. My first post is named Eric Schmidt Clarifies Google & AOL's Roles at AOL.

Any questions post a comment or start a thread in the forums.
