Gary Price, the Search Engine Watch News Editor, has been a true friend to me. I look up to him as a mentor and I try to emulate his work and family ethic. Gary and I are so called "treo buddys" because we both live and die by our Palm Treos. But there is a lot more, we both share a very similar view on life and blogging, which is so much a part of our lives. I will never forget the time I spent with Gary at the SES San Jose conference, where he showed me some of the tools he uses on a professional and personal level. From news and library source tools to every day life tools, he simply knows it all. The knowledge Gary has is astonishing. He is a deadly information resource, you can ask him anything, and he will have the answer for you in seconds.

I know that Gary will be happy and succeed at his new job at Ask. I personally feel that this will make Ask Jeeves a much more valuable search company. Check out the press release named Ask Jeeves Appoints Gary Price Director of Online Information Resources, go Ask and go Gary!

Gary has his It's Time To Say So Long post at SEW blog. Make sure to subscribe to ResourceShelf and DocuTicker to stay up to date with Gary's travels. So you know, ResourceShelf is full of search news (especially specialty databases and new resources).

Also please post at SEW's Forum in the So Long Gary Price! thread.

Gary you will be missed but we will always remember your contribution to the industry. And now that you are part of Ask Jeeves, we know you will continue to make contributions, but this time from the other side of the fence. Ask, you got a great guy!
