I am messing around with positions and stuff to try to improve lighting and voice quality, if you have ideas - let me know. This week I covered the Google Panda 3.9 refresh and asked was it really a refresh? Google confused the webmaster and SEO community with weird link notification warnings that could have been ignored. Google said don't wait for a penalty to expire, act on it now. Google added some cool reports to the index status report. Google added actively discuss this topic on Google+. Google is pushing people related to this topic on Google's search results. Google gave us advice on using JavaScript with responsive web design. adCenter removed age and gender targeting. Google launched the ability to handwrite your search queries on mobile devices. Google improved their calculator. I hate it when SEOs threaten others, it is so low and I am afraid one day someone will be hurt. Google had a logo for Amelia Earhart, an American icon. The Olympics kick off tonight in London and we have logos from Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask.com and many others! That was this week at the Search Engine Roundtable.

hey Barry - in response to your question about a good (and affordable) mic for your vids, i have found you cant go wrong with pretty much anything from http://www.bluemic.com/ i have a yeti and it works awesome and has settings for isolating sound from one direction etc, is usb powered and prob could sync easy with your camera depending how you record in... very simple to use - snowball is also good, havent tried the others - but they are basically made for podcasters and i think they pretty much rock... hope that is useful ;) and thanks for all your awesome stuff, keep up the great work covering the community and issues!
