Can you solve a mystery for me - why suddenly a couple of days ago did the look of my Google Advanced Search page change when I view using IE9? Looks the same in Firefox & Chrome, but strange in IE9 and it has a new box to narrow search to a range of years. Nice new feature, but I hate the look of the new page.

Noticed the same problem running IE 8; recently the advanced search page has a totally different format, with larger and wider spaced boxes that require scrolling to view all the options, and my preference for English results will not stick. If I go to the advanced search page for images, that page still has the old format and style. Is this some sort of ploy to get folks to abandon IE in favor of Chrome? If so, I think I'll abandon Google search instead. Any company that develops a site without making certain it works with the most widely installed browser needs to find some better qualified people, assuming this wasn't done on purpose. BTW, I noticed the same change of formatting on the YouTube login page also run by Google.
