Yahoo announced they are killing off Yahoo Maps by the end of this month.
maps.yahoo.com: The Yahoo Maps site will close at the end of June. However, in the context of Yahoo search and on several other Yahoo properties including Flickr, we will continue to support maps. We made this decision to better align resources to Yahoo’s priorities as our business has evolved since we first launched Yahoo Maps eight years ago.
I don't blame them, both Google, Bing and Apple are investing big time into their maps product and for Yahoo to go down that route and try to compete would be a big deal.
Local SEOs wonder if this will have an impact on the Yahoo Local business listings product but I don't think it will, not at least anytime soon.
