Since 2010 we knew that using Google Translate or other automatic machine translation services to convert content from one language to another and to rank it in Google was against Google's guidelines. So here we have Google's Gary Illyes again defending what Google has said in the past, when SEOs say what he said is not true. This is around Google giving full weight to content on mobile within accordions or tabs. Some reports say Google does not do this but Google is saying they do give this content full weight.
  • Google Ads Adds Videos To Shopping Ads With Showcase Shopping Ads
Google has added more videos to their Google Ads platform, this new one is called Showcase Shopping Ads where videos can now show for Google Shopping Ads. This format is available to advertisers already running Showcase Shopping ads.
  • Google Maps Showing Future Open Dates For Businesses
Google is now able to show the date a business will open in the future, if the business owners enters such information into Google My Business. It can show the exact date or the month and year directly in the local panel on web search or Google Maps.
  • Google My Business Reviews Can Now Be Edited In Local Panel
Now you can edit the reviews and responses you leave for local businesses in Google Maps and Local directly in the local knowledge panel when you expand the reviews. Google has added an "edit" button to reviews or responses you have left directly in this reviews overlay.
