Google AdWords Image AdsA Google AdWords Help thread has one advertiser asking why she cannot preview the ad extensions within the Ad Preview tool?

The answer is because the Ad Preview tool rarely shows ad extensions and you need to go about it a different way.

Google's Juliana S. a Online Specialist on the Google AdWords team, responded to the question giving a couple options:

  • Review the statistics table within the Ad Extensions tab. Here you’ll also be able to segment data by ‘Click Type’ in order to see what part of the ad users are clicking (i.e. Headline, Sitelink, Get Direction, etc).
  • Or perform a live search if you’re really eager to see the extensions displayed with the ads, but note, any live search you perform can affect your impression and CTR data.

These are the ways to preview your AdWords ad extensions with Google.
