You and I know that mobile is important and growing in importance, especially with Google ranking factors and your users.

Patrick Sexton created a very useful tool that is free and checks your mobile SEO. The tool is at feedthebot.com/mobile. It checks:

  • Checks all resources against robots.txt (js, html, css)
  • Displays Viewport
  • Displays Vary HTTP header
  • Displays rel="canonical"
  • Displays mobile headers
  • Displays mobile redirects
  • Displays mobile screenshot
  • Displays errors from Google pagespeed insights
  • Displays UX errors

Here is a partial screen shot:

Check it out, it may bring to light things you need to fix on your site as well.

This post was pre-written and scheduled to be posted today. FYI, I am offline today, so if Google does a Penguin update - I won't get to it until Monday.
