Google Is Strongly Embracing AMP Everywhere There Is Content

Google Analytics Amp

If you can't tell by all the Google AMP articles we've written here, AMP is a big deal at Google.

Dave Besbris, Vice President of Engineering at Google said at SMX West this week that "everywhere we use content, we want to embrace AMP." That is no joke - AMP is something Google wants to see everywhere Google has indexed and shows content.

Dave did clearly say AMP is not designed for applications but just content. But there is a lot of content on the web and Google wants it all to be AMP ready.

Casie Gillette captured the quote the other day and posted it on Twitter:

So if you are thinking about going AMP, I'd say it is important for your site to adopt it, at least for the next few years.
