UNC-Chapel HillThe University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hosting a distinguished alumni speakers series and Google's Matt Cutts is part of the line up. He will be speaking at the FedEx Global Education Center at 301 Pittsboro Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27516 tomorrow, Thursday, January 8, 2014 at 5pm.

His talk will be about the early days at Google. Matt Cutts joined Google when it was a small company with less than 100 employees. He is going to talk about how it was to work at Google at the beginning. The topic of the speech is "Lessons learned from the early days of Google."

Google is a household name now, but it wasn’t always. Matt Cutts joined Google when it was still under 100 people. In his talk, Matt will discuss a few lessons and share some stories from when Google was a scrappy start-up.

Matt said on Google+ that anyone in the area is welcome to hear him talk. He said:

Do you live near Chapel HIll or Raleigh-Durham? I'm doing a free talk at UNC-Chapel Hill this Thursday. I'll tell some stories from the early days of Google, and we should have time for general questions at the end. Register at the link below! Please share with anyone that might be interested--even Duke folks. :)

You can learn more and register over here.

It is an 8 hour drive from my location, so I will skip but if anyone does go, let me know how it goes.

Matt Cutts, while on an extended leave, has not been to SEO events in a long time. If you miss your Cutts fix, this may be your chance. Although, I doubt he will be able to help with your SEO issues being that he is not actively working on web spam or at Google right now.
