Poll: Should This Site Be Hit By Google Panda?

SEO ThreatWhen Google Panda 4.1 touched down, it appeared that one of the sites negatively impacted by it, was this one.

On December 30th, I asked Google's John Mueller about it and he was being nice and implying that maybe the content is seen as poor because of the comments.

There are tons of comments around if the site should or should not have been hit by Google Panda. There is even a long discussion thread at WebmasterWorld on the topic.

Objectively, yes, this site covers a lot of the same topics that other sites in the SEO space cover including Search Engine Land, Search Engine Watch, Search Engine Journal and a hundred other blogs in the space. Typically, the algorithm updates are broken here first but either way, first doesn't mean better. Yes, I am crazy about sourcing and quoting people and data from forums and social media when I write. I don't like to report things and not quote people and link back to them. So I do quote a lot. The content here is pretty short and to the point.

But I do think there is value add, there is a unique view on the stories here and I think there is an engaged community here as well. I am obviously way to close to this. So you go ahead, read the comments and the forum thread I linked to above.

Do you think this site should have been hit by the Panda algorithm?
