Google: Two Web Sites Out Of One Won't Result In Twice As Much Visibility

Google's John Mueller said on Twitter that if you think it is a good idea to take your web site and break it up into two different web sites, you might want to reconsider. He said "If you make 2 websites out of one, you're not going to be twice as visible in search."

This is similar messaging to when he previously said it is preferred to have one stronger page than many weaker web pages.
