Google Testing Search Results Without Descriptions

Google Ball Logo - 12/12/12I've seen lots of Google tests, including Google hiding the URLs in the search results, but not showing the descriptions in the search results for the whole listing of results?

Typically searchers read the title (clickable link) and the description and even the URL before clicking on a search result to go to the web site. But in Google's latest test, Google is trying to see if searchers will click as often on search results without descriptions (snippets) below the clickable title and above the URL.

@gfiorelli1 spotted this test and posted it on Twitter, here is his picture:

Not pretty... I can't replicate it but others have seen this in the past as well.

I prefer seeing descriptions in the search results.
