Google launched new structured data for question and answer pages named Q&A Page schema. Google updated the guidelines to say it is against their guidelines to use this markup on FAQ style pages.

The guidelines now has a section that reads "Don't use QAPage markup for FAQ pages or pages where there are multiple questions per page. QAPage markup is for pages where the focus of the page is a single question and its answers."

John Mueller of Google responded to SEOs and webmasters about this on Twitter yesterday.
