Even Updated Chrome Users Are Seeing Old Google Home Page?

ChromeIn late August, we reported that many searchers began seeing the old Google home page again. It turns out that this was not a bug but rather intended where Google began showing the older home page to older browsers on purpose, because of support issues.

Now, that should only be shown to older browsers, not newer browsers, such as updated Chrome.

Some users are reporting in the Google Web Search Help forums and on Twitter that the old version of the home page is showing the old Google home page.

Chrome users are almost always up to date because of the auto-update feature. But maybe those using beta versions, which are beyond what is up to date, but looking into the future, are seeing the older home page?

One reported he is using Version 38.0.2125.44 beta-m (64-bit) and is seeing the old home page?

Again, I am unable to replicate this.
