Google: Linking To Your Media Mentions Is Fine

Google Media Mentions

There is so much paranoia around linking in the SEO community that some questions seems a bit overboard to me. For example, someone asked if it is okay to create a page showing the company's media mentions and link to them or will Google frown on that.

Google's John Mueller said on Twitter that this is fine - a lot of sites like to have a page that publicize their mentions in the media and doing so is perfectly okay with Google.

John said "I don't see a problem with that -- it's kinda natural to do that, lots of sites are proud of their media mentions and are keen on pointing them out."

Here are the tweets:

The person went on to ask if they should nofollow those links. You can, if you want to be super safe, but again, I wouldn't worry about it.
