In 2012, Google did away with anonymous Google Maps reviews from "A Google User" or at least they did with some bugs here and there but for the most part, you did not see reviews from anonymous users, such as the "A Google User" account.

Phil Rozek from Local Visibility Systems posted on Local Search Forums that he has seen examples of A Google User showing up in the reviews in Google Maps. I noticed a few also over the past few days showing "A Google User."
