As I reported at Search Engine Land last night, the Google Maps iOS app released two new features. One feature is a really nice one that helps avoid traffic, but the important feature for local SEOs is that users can now quickly and easily add businesses to Google Maps with the click of a button directly in the app.

That means, potentially way more duplicates for Local SEOs to deal with.

The data is added to Google Map Maker for review by the map maker volunteers.

The way to access it is via the menu in the iOS app that says "add a missing business":

Google Maps Ios Add Business

Then you fill out this quick form on your iPhone and Google will review and add it:

Google Maps Ios Add Business2

My concern, duplicate listings, but only time will tell.
