Google is testing a redesigned Local Service Ads design in the search results that have larger images and a highlight box under the listings. It makes the ads really stand out and in your face.
Anthony Higman spotted the design change and posted a screenshot on X and as you can see, it makes the Local Service Ads way bigger, adding a larger image and a larger highlight box beneath the main ad listing. I should note, Google did test expandable images in Local Service Ads years ago but this is different.

Google is making local services ads listings bigggggeeeeerrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!! Because of course they are lol. must make them work! Note though the resources they are now putting behind this ad type and that they are serving them in more places amid the LSA to Google Ads migration change over. This is definitely something to watch if you are a local advertiser. Chess moves are being made here.
