Google: Indexing API Not Coming Anytime Soon

Google Excited

A few months ago, Google introduced the Indexing API specifically for job posting URLs. It is hopeful to some that Google will open it up for more reasons. But Google's John Mueller said on Twitter "I don't think that's coming anytime soon."

I don't think anyone expected more to come from the Indexing API so soon anyway. When it first came out, Google initially said very little about it and down played the whole thing.

Well, it seems like no one should be excited because we are not going to be seeing Google expand this Indexing API in any other way, any time soon.
